This is your space to ask any questions about the class after you've read through the syllabus and wandered through our class sites. I'll be in meetings most of the day, but I'll be checking in periodically when I can to see what you're up to today. If you can answer one another's questions, please do, but if it's something only I can address, hang tight and I'll get back to you.
How do you write a comment on another students post?
ReplyDeleteTo comment on a post simply click the comments button below that post. If you mean to comment on another students comment, I don't think there is a way to do that on blogger. Only the author of the post is allowed to reply to comments.
ReplyDeleteQuestion: Dr. Charlton, is there a time you usually post here, or is it just at random? Im asking that way I can get into the habit of checking around that time. -Zoe
ReplyDeleteI haven't got my book yet. It is suppose to arrive tomorrow, will I be behind in what were doing with the reading today?
ReplyDeleteZoe, I'll try to get into a regular schedule of reading and posting next week. Right now, it's pretty random unless you send me an email at jcharlton@utpa.edu letting me know I need to respond to a particular post:).
ReplyDeleteEnique, you can get caught up this weekend with your posts for today since your book will be here so quickly.
Ok thanks Dr. J sounds good. :)
ReplyDeleteDr. J, is there any credit taken from us if we are not able to post by the certain time you have set for us? I don't mean days late, but maybe by like an hour or two off?
ReplyDeleteDr. Jonnika, like Enique Mason, I will be receiving my book by 4 pm tomorrow and be caught up with the rest of the class. I have one question though. Have we had to turn anything in through google docs yet, or does that start at a later time? Everything I have come across so far is being submitted through this blog.
ReplyDeleteEverything is through the blog so far. When you have major drafts of things or other work which doesn't really seem to "fit' well on the blog, we'll use Google Docs.
ReplyDeleteAs for credit for what you've been doing so far, I'm being pretty flexible so far. A few people had some difficulties getting on the blog, and since I was out of town, it took a bit to get them in the groove. As I'm reading through everything, I'll start grading. And I imagine you'll be fine in the future if you have an occasional blog post which is an hour or two late. It'll mostly depend on whether you need to get something done so that someone else can get their work done. In those instances (especially major drafts of projects), I'll likely need to see that your work is done "on time."
Dr. Charlton, another question: will you be posting the grades online in Blackboard or on another website?
